'cloth can burn,' they mutter, paying fares
i've been playing a lot of dragon age origins, and recently i started back with dragon age inquisition. here's a list of some of the (mostly cosmetic) mods i'm currently using! i thought doing this would be fun, and also good for me to note. i'm mostly playing inquisition right now but i'm still really excited about the dao mods i installed lol.
- unique face textures for companions
mostly to fix the patchy skin issues, also brightens the eyes. i like that there are a few options to choose from; more makeup, less makeup, beards, no beards. i didn't install them for each of the characters, i guess you'll see which ones i did.
- qunari update
a mod to update the look of the qunari to what they look like in dragon age 2. i thought it would be cool for continuity and also just a different look for the game? i also installed sten of the beresaad to give sten a unique hornless look that's not like all the other qunari in the game. i do like it, even though he just looks like the arishok's hornless baby brother. i didn't take great screen shots but here's one.
- leliana item pack
mostly got this for the armour, which i really really like! she looks so pretty! outside of cutscenes it DOES get a little static-y but it doesn't bother me much. not very lore friendly maybe, as idk when she'd have had the chance to get threads like this in lothering lol... maybe it was her old bard's uniform that she dusted off after she met the warden. lol shhhhh. also the items are all pretty overpowered so i don't use much other than the armour. if i up the difficulty if might wear them.
- practical morrigan robes
i think this was modelled on her look on the temple of sacred ashes trailer? or by some concept art. i love it it looks so cool. and protects the titties from the fereldan cold.
- crow assassin's armour for zevran
another armour mod based on concept art. i like this, but it still has to grow on me some. i don't know if i like how the white looks? but it's very cool. and comes with some weapons and items. it's very op lol but the modder was nice enough to include a scaled down version of it.
- sm warden mage uniform
so this is my first time playing a mage from start to finish and i've been so let down by how there are no good robes for the mages! i want to wear something cute!!! and grey warden-y! so this marks the start of my search for good grey warden robes. just a re-colouring for the dresses that nobles wear, but it's really cute. and i do like wearing black. but i eventually gave it to wynne.
- grey warden triss armour retexture
armour based on a character from the witcher i guess? i like the striped white and blue, which calls to the grey warden uniform they implement in later games. i like that she looks like an adventurer, but it's less mage-y, and i'm not sure i like the pants. also idk if those are gloves but it looks like her hands are white lol :/ so i've switched it out.
- warden travelling robes
WE HAVE A WINNER!!! nothing much to say about this, except this it is really cool looking and i love how latoya looks in it. :) it's got the grey warden coat of arms and the griffons and all... the stats aren't great and but so many of my companions have great gear so i'm not worried. i think this will see me through the entire game!
- faster weapons
just speeds up weapons animations, both for your party and the enemy. makes battles go a little faster, and it's nice after getting used to the faster pace in later games. i really appreciated having this for my rogue character.
- i think i'm also going to install this respec mod, in case i need it later on, and maybe also some hd textures.
