mautadite. Thank you so much for creating this fanwork for me. I hope you have a great time making it. I say it all the time: this letter is just a series of guidelines; just try to avoid my do-not-wants and I'm sure I'll love what you write. My letter writing format is pretty much me blabbing out ideas and stuff that I like; definitely don't feel like you have to incorporate everything. If my prompts don't get you going, and you want to take your work in another direction, or mix and match prompts, feel free! I've requested these fandoms and ships because I'm really invested in them all, in one way or another, and I'd be happy to receive fanworks for any of them. Make something that you'd enjoy yourself!

Here are some of my general likes and dislikes.

General likes: (please feel free to include) friendships, friendships that develop into romance, introspection, character studies, domestic fluff, mystery, family relationships, exploration of intense loyalty. I like future fic and modern AUs and canon divergent AUs, in the vein of 'what if so-and-so didn't die, what if this happened instead of that'. Feel free to explore any and all of your trans and/or nonbinary headcanons. I'm really into character interaction, it's often my favourite part of a story, but a good plot can really get me going too! There are a bunch of tropes that I'm quite fond of, like 'separated from the group and surviving on their own', 'undercover as a couple', 'sharing a bed', 'friends to lovers'. I quite like fusion AUs, so if an idea strikes you that you can meld/combine with Pacific Rim or His Dark Materials, go for it, if that's your thing! :)

General dislikes: (please try to avoid) rape/dubcon (discussing or mentioning them is fine, especially in survival/recovery scenarios), underage, character bashing, character death, first person pov, a/b/o, super depressing/sad endings. I don't need out and out fluff, and I do enjoy angst, but I'd definitely prefer something that ends happily or hopefully. If infidelity is a part of the story, I'd prefer that you didn't concentrate on it too much.

» Given the nature of this exchange, I tried to keep my prompts short and simple. But if you'd like me to expand upon what I have below, feel free to leave me an anon comment/send me questions through the mods.

» Also given the nature of this exchange and the word count: don't worry too much about plot! I would 100% love a plotty fic, and tailored prompts for that, but also: fluff without plot, porn without plot, and general slice of life-y moments are the bomb.

» Scrolling through my tumblr and checking the tags for the different fandoms (1, 2, 3) might give you a few more ideas about what I like. But only if you want to/think it would help!

- Markus/Simon

SIDE SHIP OF MY HEART!!!! Some general notes: I'm partial to the Stratford Tower ending that has Simon wounded on the roof with a gun, and eventually making his way back to Jericho, and to an overall non-violent Markus storyline. But I'm familiar with almost all the paths this game can take, so honestly, follow your heart! (Same for anatomy if you wanna write porn!) Pls don't kill North tho. <3

» Markus/Simon - Simon gave off waves of two of my favourite tropes: undying loyalty and pining. So... any of that, but with a happy/hopeful ending! The two of them visiting Carl after the revolution. (Or visiting his grave, if he dies.) There are several opportunities for Simon to save Markus; what about one where Markus saves him? Simon supporting Markus in a quiet moment. What about an AU where Markus stays atop the rooftop with Simon? We never learn the specifics of Simon's backstory; maybe fill that in? Markus helping Simon get closure, going back to his previous household. Markus kisses Simon during the moment of truth at the demonstration. In a scenario where things go wrong... show me them on the run (with the rest of Jericho or not). Simon offering Markus a literal shoulder to lean on. Learning to kiss.

Mass Effect
- Female Shepard/Miranda Lawson

General preference is female paragon adept Shep (class actually doesn't matter much). Both default Shep or one using descriptors of your own choosing are fine!

» Shepard/Miranda - Nothing makes me happier than the thought of cool, practical and collected Miranda having the biggest crush on the galaxy's saviour and being slightly miffed about it. Kissing in the sub-deck, Miranda getting flustered. Undercover as a couple. Kicking ass in fancy dresses. Shep saving Miranda: "Now we're even." Pre-ME2, Miranda musing over Shep's body during Project Lazarus. The first awakening. Post-ME3. Miranda desperately trying to put Shep back together again. (Works for destroy ending, but god I'd love to see her trying in the control ending. Does Shepard's consciousness call to her?)

- Alistair/Zevran Arainai

» Alistair/Zevran - Post-Blight, reluctant King Alistair scenarios! Zevran offering political advice, helping Alistair with courtly machinations, being a distracting bodyguard, thwarting an attempting on Alistair's life. Or: adventuring after the Blight. A night by the camp fire. Soft conversations and teasing. I am a sucker for: first kisses, first times, holding hands, TEASING. Bantering during a fight. Licking a lamppost in winter. (;D) Future fic: Alistair hears the Call, and travels to the Deep Roads. Zevran goes with him.

- Dethroned and Dishonoured Queen/Lone Loyal Female Knight, Lonely Queen/Her Virginal Loyal Guardswoman she has long longed to lovingly deflower, King/Male Assassin Sent to Kill Him, Wandering Sword-for-Hire/The Boy Who Tried to Pick his Pocket

SO MANY GOOD SHIPS. Some things I'd love in any of these: loyalty kink, either party saving the other in unexpected ways, oh no one only one bed what do, accidental voyeurism. Go for whatever fantasy world or historical era you fancy! Regarding the last prompt: by 'boy' I'm thinking young man; 19-21, but no younger please! And I don't mind age gaps but as for the hired sword... no older than 45 maybe.

» Dethroned and Dishonoured Queen/Lone Loyal Female Knight - Gimme scenarios either immediately after or a while after the dethroning. Escaping. On the run. Nights by a campfire. Riding double in a trusty steed. Standing guard at the queen's door in a tavern, being invited in. Sharing warmth. Protecting her from a mob. Duelling with dissidents for her honour. Bridal style carries. Queen tending to knight's wounds. FLASHBACKS TO COURTLY ROMANCE. What are their goals for the future? Who wants to live in a cottage on a hill, who wants to take back the throne?

» Lonely Queen/Her Virginal Loyal Guardswoman she has long longed to lovingly deflower - Really, the prompt is in the pairing, and anything along these lines will make me swoon. Deflowering in fic would be nice, but not necessary! Would love a situation where they're both around the same age, and the guardswoman has been her bodyguard since they were teens, and hasn't had time for much romance... but she doesn't mind bc UNDYING LOYALTY. Maybe the queen's a widow. Maybe her kids try to play matchmaker. Does the queen try to clumsily seduce her? A five times fic would be cute. Guardswoman is being teased; queen stands up for her. Guardswoman on duty while the queen takes a bath. Who confesses to whom? Take this anywhere you wanna.

» King/Male Assassin Sent to Kill Him - Definitely looking for a scenario where the assassination doesn't actually happen lol. Would love to see a competent assassin infiltrating the castle with a bulletproof disguise, only to discover that the king is really sad and lonely and in his attempts to get closer to him/get him alone, he just falls for him lol. OR a situation where the assassin has been coerced into this, and isn't actually a very good killer, and the king catches him red-handed (or... pre-red-hands) on the first try. Maybe the assassin ends up saving the king from some other rival assassin. Maybe the king ends up saving the assassin from one of his own guards! Maybe the assassin takes the king hostage and they end up talking (or kissing... or banging...). Maybe the assassin sneaks in to kill him while he's taking a bath and oh no! He's super hot.

» Wandering Sword-for-Hire/The Boy Who Tried to Pick his Pocket - What's the sword's reaction? Gruffly pushing him aside and attempting to go on his way? Carrying him to the authorities? Carting him off to an inn to get him a meal? Being menacing, then nonplussed when the kid just tries to flirt his way out of the situation? (He doesn't want the flirting to work on him. But it does.) What's the kid's reaction to his pickpocket fail? Maybe he tries to convince the hired sword to take him on as a squire, and follows him around annoying him until he agrees lol. Accompanies him on a job and makes himself useful. Gets him info. If you want to turn this into a fantasy world veteran/rookie buddy cop romance type thing... be my guest!
