mautadite. Thank you so much for writing this fic for me. I hope you have a great time making it. You know the drill: this letter is just a series of guidelines; just try to avoid my do-not-wants and I'm sure I'll love what you write. If my prompts don't get you going, and you want to take the fic in another direction, or mix and match prompts, feel free! I've requested these fandoms and characters because I'm really invested in them all, in one way or another, and I'd be happy to receive fanworks for any of them. Make something that you'd enjoy yourself!
Here are some of my general likes and dislikes.
General likes: (please feel free to include) friendships, friendships that develop into romance, introspection, character studies, domestic fluff, mystery, family relationships, exploration of intense loyalty. I like future fic and modern AUs and canon divergent AUs, in the vein of 'what if so-and-so didn't die, what if this happened instead of that'. Feel free to explore any and all of your trans and/or nonbinary headcanons. I'm really into character interaction, it's often my favourite part of a story, but a good plot can really get me going too! There are a bunch of tropes that I'm quite fond of, like 'separated from the group and surviving on their own', 'undercover as a couple', 'sharing a bed', 'friends to lovers'. I quite like fusion AUs, so if an idea strikes you that you can meld/combine with Pacific Rim or His Dark Materials, go for it, if that's your thing! :)
General dislikes: (please try to avoid) rape/dubcon (discussing or mentioning them is fine, especially in survival/recovery scenarios), character bashing, character death, first person pov, a/b/o, super depressing/sad endings. I don't need out and out fluff, and I do enjoy angst, but I'd definitely prefer something that ends happily or hopefully. If infidelity is a part of the story, I'd prefer that you didn't concentrate on it too much.

I loved this game a lot! Aloy and the cast of main characters for sure, but the characters in the past as well. I loved Elisabet for how stubborn, smart and determined she was, and how she literally brought the world back from extinction through sheer will and intelligence. And I found Gaia to be amazing as well, a lot about her is archetypal, mother nature and all that, but she was still a character in her own right. Side-note: background ships are fine, but I ship Aloy with girls (Talanah, Vanasha, Petra, Vala) and Varl. I'd prefer not to see any other ships.

This movie gave me so many FEELINGS and a lot of them are about Andy. I absolutely love her relationships with everyone in the gang, but especially how she see how Nile influences and is able to touch her, and the ways we see just how close she and Quynh were. It's hard to decide who I ship her with more. T__T IDK how it could work, but if you want to try to write on ot3 fic, pleeeeease go for it, I'd love to read it. (I'm very meh on love triangles tho.)

As always, there are sooooo many good original fic prompts... I picked out some of the ones that speak to me the most. And in the process outed myself as having a huge royalty/loyalty kink lol. Some things I'd love in any of these: loyalty kink, either party saving the other in unexpected ways, clothes swapping, royal bottoms and gentle tops. Go for whatever fantasy world or historical era you fancy!

» Elisabet/Gaia - Human/AI relationships are like catnip to me. Especially in scenarios like these, where the human has created the AI in question, because it can make for complicated and messy feelings. It's made very clear that Gaia is very much her own person, a fully realised artificial intelligence, so I'd rather steer away from any 'Elisabet made Gaia to love her' scenarios. Otherwise, go wild with it. Show me quiet conversations while at work on Zero Dawn. Early instances where they first come together and become friends. Elisabet feeling guilty for developing feelings for a person she created; Gaia assuring her that the feelings are welcome and returned. Interactions with Margo, Patrick, Samina, Travis. I looooooove get-together fic; I'd love to see them quietly coming to an understanding about how special they are to one another. A story that looks at their relationship from the point of view of the current day would be amazing as well. Maybe there's another batch of metal flowers, or some other type of tribute, that Gaia spread around the world in honour of Elisabet. An AU in which things go miraculously well would also bring me joy. Or maybe not miraculously well, but perhaps Elisabet didn't have to sacrifice herself after all, and was able to live out the rest of her natural life with Gaia, falling even more in love. How does Gaia feel about that, seeing Elisabet grow older right in front of her eyes? A straight up AU would also be interesting; Elisabet creates Gaia to help the world, but the situation isn't nearly as dire. How does that change/affect the relationship they have? (You don't have to go here but if you want to, let the record show that I am 100% cool with robot sex. LOL.)

» Andy/Nile - Something that I love dearly in any form of media is loyalty and protection, and Nile protecting Andy physically, using her body as a shield (combined with the knowledge and imagery of her own deathlessness, which was super powerful for me) was just so good! Show me Andy continuing to teach and mentor Nile, while having to come to terms with her own mortality, and let herself be protected and taken care of. Show me Nile protecting Andy once more, or even better, Andy being stubborn and putting herself in danger for Nile's sake. I feel like the moment of coming back from death is so good and so intimate, so I'd love a moment like that between them. Maybe going on a mission together, taking on something huge and evil or something more mundane. Or a moment of relaxation, growing intimacy. Oh and I love all the boys, so feel free to include them in any way.
» Andy/Quynh - What I dearly want to see for this ship is anything from their lives together. What was it like immediately after they found each other, in the early years of their immortality? How many years, decades, did it take before they become involved or intimate? Show me a scene after a battle, after a death, after coming back. What I love about relationships like this that last for literally centuries, is how extremely close the characters become, and how they just implicitly know each other. Show me some of that, how they just GET one another, whether it's during a fight scene, a conversation, or sex. I'd also be really interested in an alternate universe where Quynh didn't "die", and is still a part of the gang when they find Nile. How has the continued friendship and love of her lifelong partner change Andy, make her different from the woman we saw at the beginning of the movie?

» Virgin Queen/Her Loyal Head Guardswoman who has long longed to lovingly deflower her - Really, the prompt is in the pairing, and anything along these lines will make me swoon. Deflowering in fic would be nice, but not necessary! Would love a situation where the queen is older, maybe in her forties, and has never gotten married because she's always had so much work to do in keeping the queendom running, and no one has ever been able to divert her away from her work with thoughts of alliances or romance. Maybe she already has an heir (much younger little sister or niece or cousin) and she's simply not concerned about marrying. Maybe she's oblivious about her knight's devotion; maybe she know, but doesn't thinks she deserves it or can afford to start a liaison. She and her knight/guardswoman are friendly and close, and I'd love something where the guardswoman makes her realise that she deserves romance and love if she wants it! But again, anything that more or less follows the prompt would make me happy. :)
» Queen/Assassin Sent to Kill Her - Definitely looking for a scenario where the assassination doesn't actually happen lol. Would love to see a competent assassin infiltrating the castle with a bulletproof disguise, only to discover that the queen is really sad and lonely, and in her attempts to get closer to her/get her alone, she just falls for her lol. OR a situation where the assassin has been coerced into this, and isn't actually a very good killer, and the queen catches her red-handed (or... pre-red-hands) on the first try. Maybe the assassin ends up saving the queen from some other rival assassin. Maybe the queen ends up saving the assassin from one of her own guards! Maybe the assassin takes the queen hostage and they end up talking (or kissing... or banging...). Maybe the assassin sneaks in to kill her while she's taking a bath and oh no! She's super hot.
» Queen/Her Loyal Knight she has been pining for - Haha, can you tell I like pining? Would love a situation where they're both around the same age, and the knight has been her bodyguard since they were teens, and is so single-minded in her devotion that she can't see that the queen has a massive crush on her. Maybe the queen's a widow. Maybe her kids try to play matchmaker. Does the queen try to clumsily seduce her? A five times fic would be cute. Knight is being teased; queen stands up for her. Knight on duty while the queen takes a bath. How does the queen like her longing known? Does the knight finally buy a clue? Take this anywhere you wanna.
